JOB SUMMARY

Innova Security Systems are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, including security, surveillance, and networking . This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various low voltage systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field of security or telecommunications.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience in cabling for low voltage applications is essential.
  • Background in construction or CCTV , Alarm Systems is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including CCTV, IDS, alarm systems and install and terminate Cat5 cat6, fiber and coax cabling.
  • Perform field service tasks to troubleshoot and resolve issues with security systems and related equipment.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for system design and installation.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for security and telecommunication systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
  • Document all service calls, installations, and repairs accurately.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites.
