Description

Summary:
The Low Voltage Technician is responsible for the installation, service, and troubleshooting of
low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, access control, surveillance, and monitoring
platforms. This position supports project delivery through high-quality fieldwork, adherence to
safety and code requirements, and collaboration with team members across departments. The
ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-orientated technician with 1-2+ years of experience and a
current LEA license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Install, program, and test integrated low voltage systems including security,
surveillance, access control, and fire alarm.
 Perform service calls and diagnostics to identify and resolve system issues.
 Review engineered drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to guide
installation and ensure compliance.
 Collaborate with engineering, programming, and project management teams to ensure
successful system deployment.
 Maintain accurate project records and material usage documentation.
 Follow company safety policies and maintain compliance with local, state, and national
codes.
 Communicate effectively with clients and team members while representing Security
Monster in a professional manner.
 Participate in ongoing training and certification programs as required.
Qualifications:
 Active LEA (Limited Energy) license (required)
 1-2+ years of low voltage systems installation and service experience (required)
 Proficient knowledge of low voltage platforms: Avigilon, Verkada, Hanwha, DMP,
Alarm.com, etc. (strongly preferred)
 Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and digital construction
documentation (required)
 Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills (required)
 OSHA 10 construction certification (preferred)
 Manufacturer certifications (preferred)
 Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
 Personal hand tools (required)
 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work on lifts (required)
Working Conditions:
 Field-based role with travel throughout Oregon
 Work performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
 Occasional overtime based on project needs
 Periodic visits to the Eugene office/warehouse
Physical Requirements:
 Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods
 Ability to climb ladders and access confined spaces
