JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in low voltage systems, including security, surveillance, and fire alarm systems. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to install, maintain, and troubleshoot various low voltage systems in residential and commercial settings.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field of telecommunications or electrical services.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with computer networking principles and computer hardware is preferred.
• Experience with alarm system sales is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction practices related to low voltage installations is beneficial.
• Understanding of locksmithing principles is an advantage.

• Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems such as CCTV, IDS, fire alarms, and security systems.
• Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing installations.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
• Read and interpret schematics and system designs to ensure proper installation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
• Perform cabling work for various systems while adhering to NEC standards.
• Provide technical support for remote access software related to security systems.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs.
