Low Voltage Cabling Technician (T‑2 License Required) Location: Connecticut (commercial job sites) Type: Contract / Contract‑to‑Hire We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Cabling Technician with an active Connecticut T‑2 Low Voltage License to support ongoing commercial cabling projects. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience installing, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems and can work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Pull, route, terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A and fiber cabling Terminate patch panels, jacks, racks, and network hardware Build and dress IDF/MDF rooms, including racks and cable management Install cable pathways (J‑hooks, ladder rack, innerduct, cable tray) Read and work from blueprints and floor plans Test and troubleshoot cabling using Fluke or similar testers Follow all CT licensing, safety, and quality standards Complete work orders, test results, and project documentation Requirements Active Connecticut T‑2 Low Voltage License (required) 1–3+ years of commercial low‑voltage or structured cabling experience Experience with copper terminations (fiber a plus) Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and overhead environments Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New London, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
