Position Overview Cherry Hills Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, relational, and instructional leader to serve as Dean of Academics. This role partners closely with the Director of Lower School to strengthen instructional excellence, curriculum alignment, faculty development, and student academic growth while nurturing a culture rooted in faith, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Dean of Academics supports teachers and academic systems through coaching, data-informed decision-making, and professional learning, ensuring that academic programs are aligned with CHCS’s mission and Essentials of Faith. The ideal candidate models servant leadership demonstrates strong instructional expertise, and joyfully invests in students, faculty, and families. Primary Responsibilities Model a Growing and Vibrant Relationship with Christ Pursue full devotion to Christ and live the life we are inviting others to live Manifest the fruit of the Spirit in work habits and relationships Pursue spiritual growth through community and daily devotions Embody other-centered, servant leadership in all interactions Demonstrate Commitment to Cherry Hills Christian School Be an active, engaged member of the school community Attend and serve at school-wide, all-hands-on-deck events (e.g., Meet & Greet, Back to School Night) Accept and uphold CHCS’s Essentials of Faith Academic Leadership & Instructional Support Assist and support the Director of Lower School as a school and instructional leader Recruit, interview, and support the hiring of high-caliber faculty and staff Build and sustain a culture of academic excellence, collaboration, and spiritual formation Provide instructional coaching, feedback, and evaluation grounded in data and best practices Lead classroom observations and support teachers in instructional growth Collaborate with the Academic Team to ensure curriculum maps are aligned, vertically integrated, and regularly reviewed Partner with Academic Services to analyze student data and support RTI (Response to Intervention) processes Monitor assessment data to inform instruction, set growth targets, and celebrate student achievement Professional Development & Faculty Growth Plan and lead professional development focused on data-informed, relational, and transformational instruction Support faculty in classroom management, assessment practices, and instructional strategies Encourage professional growth, reflective practice, and a posture of continuous improvement Model teachability and a growth mindset Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities Maintain academic administrative documentation (attendance, evaluations, reports, etc.) Ensure Canvas and other academic platforms are organized, accurate, and up to date Assist with preparation and distribution of academic communications (e.g., Friday News, grade-level updates) Manage communication requests with professionalism, clarity, and timeliness Uphold confidentiality and trust in all professional interactions Ensure compliance with all Cherry Hills Christian School policies and procedures Cultivate Positive Relationships with Staff and Families Connect relationally with students, families, and faculty to support academic and spiritual growth Partner with teachers to support personalized learning and student achievement Communicate clearly and proactively regarding student progress or concerns Pray regularly for students, staff, and families Represent Cherry Hills Christian School in a favorable and professional manner Demonstrate a Commitment to Growth Receive and apply coaching and training from the Director of Lower School Attend department meetings, leadership meetings, and all-staff meetings Demonstrate receptiveness to feedback and a commitment to personal and professional development Perform other duties as assigned in support of school priorities Exhibit a joyful, helpful, and flexible attitude reflective of Christ Position Details Position Type: Full-time, Exempt Hours Per Week: 40+ hours/week Benefits: Vacation, Sick Leave, 403(b), Medical, Dental, Vision Supervisor: Director of Lower School Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Accepting applications through June 9, 2026 Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evident in personal and professional life Agreement with CHCS’s mission statement, values, and faith statement Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or Administrative Certification preferred Classroom teaching experience required Minimum of two years of educational leadership experience preferred State Teaching Certification and/or ACSI Certification strongly encouraged Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Flexible, solutions-oriented mindset with a servant’s heart Ability to pass a criminal background check Must agree to the mission statement, values, and faith statement
