QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in the instruction of English Language Learners 1-4Masters degree preferred At least 5 years successful experience teaching ESL preferredFamiliarity with WIDA tools and resources, and ACCESS for ELLs Ability to work collaboratively with others Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the qualifications listed above. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, instruct, and assess English language learners at varying proficiency levels, to develop their English language skills in all 4 domains, and to build their academic language skillsTeach one or more sheltered English, history, math or science courses to ELs, to develop both their content knowledge and language skills If needed, push-in to a core academic class with ELs, to support their development of academic language and understanding of contentAdminister ACCESS for ELLs tests Complete any paperwork associated with ELE regulationsOther responsibilities as assigned by superviso
