Description Providence Resource Teachers provide a rigorous learning environment for their students that is based on a Biblical worldview and is focused on the specific content of their positions. Resource Teachers are expected to collaborate with their classroom grade level colleagues and/or supervisors to prepare their students to be “Boldly Christian and Unquestionably Academic.” All teachers are expected to forge positive relationships with their colleagues and with the parents of the students they teach, so that they serve as examples of those who follow Christ. Teach students in grades K-5 the core concepts of science, technology, engineering, art, and math in accordance with school-approved curriculum standards. Plan and implement lessons that are developmentally appropriate for the grade level and actively engage learners. Post lessons or units in Canvas in a timely manner. Research and implement best practices in STEAM, with an emphasis on student problem-solving and thinking skills. Scientific methodologies and the engineering design process are examples of this. Adjust instructional and classroom management methodologies to meet the varying needs of students in grades kindergarten through five. Participate in, and implement the practices of, professional learning. Demonstrate the characteristics of a perpetual learner who is committed to growth as an educator. Communicate frequently with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and necessary actions to ensure academic and behavioral student success. Collaborate with other Resource Teachers to support or lead integrated projects. Support the total school program by assisting with special events such as the annual Christmas musical, Grandparents Day, Veterans Day, etc. Lead or assist with after-school clubs that support STEAM learning. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: 3 years continuous teaching experience at the elementary level. Salary is based on verified years of teaching experience. Certifications & Licenses: Florida teaching certificate in Elementary Education K-6 (Elem. level); Eligible or holds ACSI Certification Agrees with the Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Agreement of Providence School
Responsibilities
