Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Works under the supervision of a teacher or instructor. Watches and supervises students. Gives students additional attention and instruction. Is present and engaged during class sessions. Supports teacher’s lessons by reviewing material with students. Contributes to lesson plans and class materials. Prepares classroom for the sessions. Enforces school and class rules to help teach students appropriate behavior. Helps teachers prepare for instruction by getting materials ready or setting up equipment. Assists teachers with recordkeeping, such as calculating grades and tracking attendance and tardiness. Helps evaluate students in class, between classes, during lunch, breaks, or recess. Additionally, all faculty members must: Display a personal and professional behavior reflective of the characteristics of a Christ-follower. Reflect excellence in curriculum content, planning, alignment, and delivery. Demonstrate expertise in instructional practices, management, and assessments. Establish an engaging learning environment and positive student relationships. Contribute to collegiality, community, and school expectations.
Responsibilities
The Teaching Assistant supports instructors by supervising students, reviewing lesson materials, and preparing the classroom for sessions. They also assist with recordkeeping, attendance tracking, and enforcing school rules to maintain appropriate student behavior.
