LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR OR LPC-A—OUTPATIENT PRACTICE SETTING (FQHC)/ CASE MANAGEMENT AND THERAPY—SAN ANTONIO (LOAN REPAYMENT)–BI-LINGUAL A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED!

We are seeking an LPC to work for a Rural Health Clinic in San Antonio, TX. The LPC or LPC-A that would provide counseling services to patients in an under-served community 30 minutes from in San Antonio. so certainly commutable. The Therapist would assess and evaluate problems through the use of case history, interview and observation to assist persons to achieve more effective personal and social development. The LPC or LPC-A would work Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm in an outpatient setting. The LPC would receive a competitive base salary $60,000+ per year for am LPC-A and $75,000+ for an LPC (Depending Upon Experience and Licensure) with full benefits package including Medical, Dental and 401K, CEU allowance, PTO, paid holidays, malpractice insurance, and full relocation allowance. This opportunity also provides for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp which would provide for the LPC $25,000 per year to be paid directly to their federally qualified student loans. This would require a two-year commitment in exchange for $50,000 in loan repayment. Excellent opportunity to make a difference in an underserved patient population in Texas. Texas is a no income tax state with reasonable housing and good schools.

QUALIFICATIONS*

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or a related field of study.
• LPC Certification or LPC-A
• Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and distraught patients.
• Ability to deal with problems and interact effectively and professionally with others.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Must be eligible for liability coverage under the Federal Torts Claims Act.
• High ethical standards.
• Well-organized, self-directed, and team leader.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Consumer advocate for quality health care and services.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
