Job Description Provides professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments. Assigns duties to nursing assistants based on residents' needs and available staff. Observes, records, and reports any change in resident’s condition. Notifies residents' physician as necessary to report a change in condition, medication requests, or changes and to verify physician orders. Monitors the medication and treatment cart, nurses' station, and medication room to ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of and narcotics are counted per policy and regulations. Transcribes written physician orders accurately to Medication Administration Record. Completes laboratory requests as ordered by a physician. Qualifications Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. General working knowledge of the aging services industry. Proven supervisory and leadership skills. Compassion, patience, and genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors. Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing situations in a dynamic care environment.
