We’re glad you’re considering joining our team. 📒About the Role: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, delivering compassionate nursing care to individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Under the supervision of an RN or clinical supervisor, the LPN assists with medical coordination, monitors patient health, administers medications, and ensures a safe and therapeutic environment that supports client recovery. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining clinical quality, promoting patient stability, and contributing to a trauma-informed, recovery-focused milieu. 🩺Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Care & Support Provide direct nursing care and support under the direction of an RN or clinical supervisor. Conduct basic nursing assessments and promptly report significant findings to supervising staff. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and patient stability; escalate concerns appropriately. Provide patient education and support as part of discharge planning. Care Coordination & Collaboration Collaborate with the treatment team to support individualized nursing care plans. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute observations regarding patient progress. Serve as a supportive point of contact for patients and families within the LPN scope of practice. Medication & Inventory Management Assist in monitoring and maintaining medication inventory. Ensure safe storage, accurate documentation, and compliance with medication handling policies. Support MAR (Medication Administration Record) processes, including documentation and reconciliation. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient medical record in compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations. Uphold infection control practices and safety standards. Support ongoing program compliance and regulatory readiness efforts. Milieu Support Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment within residential or detox units. Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts under the direction of RNs and clinical leadership. Assist with other duties or special projects that contribute to smooth clinical operations. ✅Minimum Qualifications Active, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment (required). Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program (required). Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in behavioral health, SUD treatment, psychiatric care, or residential/inpatient healthcare. Experience working in a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed setting. 🏢Work Conditions / Physical & Mental Requirements Work Environment: Primarily indoors in a climate-controlled clinical environment.
