Description $5,000 Sign-on Bonus. Bethany Village is looking for a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing team. The LPN plays an important role in providing quality care to residents while supporting the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit. Responsibilities include medication administration, treatments, documentation, working closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and helping lead and support nursing staff on the unit. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, communicates effectively with residents and families, and is committed to providing excellent care in a long-term care setting. Position Overview: Oversee aspects of care in accordance with physician's orders, resident, and family needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Coach & lead those staff members reporting to Charge LPN - work as one 'Team' to keep things running smoothly. Responsible for dispensing medications to residents. Charting & paperwork - Ensures all reporting requirements are met and completes all required paperwork; ie infection control, accident/incident reports, etc. Complete MDS+ on residents per assigned unit(s). Sterile technique / aseptic technique. Skin assessment, Decubitus Care, Dressings / Irrigations, Catheterization, Tropical applications. Basic Duties & Responsibilities: Assists with issues that arise while on duty. Assist with wing staff evaluations. Assist with physician rounds. Working with residents and staff. All other Duties as assigned. Requirements Education Required: LPN license Experience Required: Dispensing meds and medical aspects. Previous charge and/or long-term care experience preferred.
