Job Summary: The Clinical Coordinator II reports to Practice Manager and is a credentialed Certified LPN employed by Erlanger Health System. The Clinical Coordinator II is responsible for supervision of all MOHS clinical staff members in an Erlanger-owned physician practice. This position oversees the various clinical and patient flow activities of the physician office MOHS services, including maintaining proper scheduling requirements under residency program guidelines, recommending the hiring, termination and necessary disciplinary action pertaining to all laboratory technicians, radiological technicians, licensed practical nurses employed within the clinic. In addition, this position provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of practice physicians and works with resident physicians to promote an effective learning/training environment. Other position functions include: - Supervises of all MOHS patient preparation functions - Serves as lead OSHA representative. - Responsible for maintaining TJC/DNV compliance standards in all clinical areas, including completely quarterly auditing reports - Works with Practice Manager in establishment of yearly clinical budgets - Responsible for financial and cost-effective management and stocking of MOHS supplies, medications, and equipment - Supports other general practice operations in collaboration with Physician Practice Manager - Maintains patient confidentiality in all phases of clinical area. The Clinical Manager prepares annual clinical operating and capital budgets, maintains orders, and stocks all MOHS supplies and medications for the clinic. The employee must be credentialed and able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide clinical care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her clinic. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective to the patient's status. Interpretation of the appropriate information is needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in established protocols. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices� patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation. Education: Required: - Graduate from an Accredited School of Practical Nursing. Preferred: - Bachelor's degree Experience: Required: - Minimum three years' experience in a physician office setting. - Previous computer experience. Preferred: - Previous experience in a supervisory capacity. - Previous Dermatology experience. Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: - Valid license to practice as a Practical Nurse registered in the State of Tennessee. - BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward
