Positions Details Full Time Night Shift (6 pm-6:30 am) 12-hour shifts 3 days a week, Rotating Weekends Shift Diff Qualifications: Current LPN license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain). CPR/BLS/ACLS certification We are currently seeking talented and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our healthcare team at a detention center. In this role, you will provide essential nursing care, support daily medical needs, and help ensure the smooth operation of patient care under the guidance of Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidates will excel in delivering efficient, respectful, and high-quality care, making a meaningful difference in the well-being of all detainees. Key Responsibilities: Assist with health assessments and screenings for detainees upon admission and as needed. Provide emergency and routine medical care, adhering to protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team as needed. Administer medications and vaccinations accurately, ensuring safety and attention to detail. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and healthcare providers to implement personalized care plans. Document medical interventions and patient interactions in electronic health records, ensuring confidentiality. Educate detainees on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-care Respond to health emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services. Communicate effectively with custody officers and staff to ensure timely and appropriate care. Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with correctional healthcare best practices. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (often for extended periods) Ability to assist with patient movement or emergency care (up to 50 lbs) Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, gowns, etc. Our Ideal Candidate: Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
