Job Details Job Location: Cullman Regional Medical Center - Cullman, AL 35056 Position Type: Full Time - .9 Job Shift: Night Job Category: Health Care Job Summary: Provide excellent customer service. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following policies and procedures. Verify patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of the visit. Precert procedure/test when required. Determine if the purpose of visit is urgent or emergent; refer to ER if necessary. Collect patient demographics upon arrival. Prepare patient for exam by collecting medical history, vital signs, and required clinical information. Document patient current medications and all allergies. Assist provider during testing, examinations, and procedures when needed. Follow provider's instructions to complete patient treatment. Provide and record all medications and immunizations ordered by provider and given to the patient. Take patient specimen and carry out laboratory tests ordered by the provider. Stock rooms with necessary supplies. Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; communicate to the manager when an order needs to be placed. Perform administrative duties such as answering incoming/returning calls; verifying that lab and imaging reports are received. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required. Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Nursing required. Experience: One year experience in a healthcare field. Additional Skills/Abilities: Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guest. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required. BLS and NRP certification within one year of hire date.
