Performs nursing functions and consumer care at a Facility Based Crisis Center including assessment, care, and treatment of clients at the facility; must adhere to standards of care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and RHA. This position relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with limited supervision and direction to provide quality services to crisis facility clients.

The Facility Based Crisis (FBC) Center is a community-based facility that serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization when appropriate. The FBC is a facility operating 24/7/365 for adults aged 18 and over experiencing behavioral, emotional, psychological, detox, or other acute crisis stabilization needs. The FBC provides short-term intensive evaluation, treatment intervention or behavioral management to stabilize acute or crisis situations:

  • Assessment and evaluation
  • Intensive treatment and stabilization
  • Linkage to services that will provide further treatment or rehabilitation upon release.

Responsibilities
  • Performing Nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed.
  • Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with Confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement, attending applicable meetings as necessary
  • Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary
  • Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
