Hillcrest Hospital’s 4 Southeast Unit is a 38-bed medical/surgical unit that is chest pain accredited and provides diagnostics procedures like cardiac Cath, angioplasty, stenting, and valve repair. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works 7:00pm – 7:30am. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Collect, document and report patient data and observations. Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions. Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions. Perform routine laboratory tests. Educate patients and family members. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program. Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: One year of patient care experience. Involves extensive standing and walking. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for collecting, documenting, and reporting patient data and observations, as well as implementing care plans directed by an RN and contributing to revisions. This role also involves administering authorized medications and treatments, performing routine laboratory tests, and educating patients and family members.
