Description

Assists in providing and coordinating nursing care and managing resources in the delivery of care for patients, the family of patients and the community, with the goal of attaining, maintaining and restoring optimum health. Communicates with Registered Nurse and care team to assist with clinical planning and care of patients. Education and Training * Graduate of a school of practical nursing and current license to practice practical nursing in the State of Ohio. * Authorized by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing to perform intravenous therapy procedures and administer medicines. Note, some ancillary and/or physician office sites may not require IV therapy authorization. * Must be proficient at telemetry * BLS required within 30 days of hire. Schedule 4 shifts per 6 week scheduling period; PRN employees must schedule at least 4 workdays per 6-week schedule. One of the these days must be a weekend. PRN employees are also required to sign up for at least one holiday per calendar year.

Responsibilities

Provides and coordinates nursing care for patients and their families to restore optimum health. Collaborates with Registered Nurses and the care team to assist with clinical planning.
