Job Details Job Location: Wesley Commons - Greenwood, SC 29646 Position Type: Full-Time 7a-7p Education Level: 2 Year Degree Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: 7a-7p Job Category: Health Care Purpose: To utilize professional nursing knowledge and skills in rendering nursing care in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures and established standards based on the scope of nursing under the direction of the Director of Nursing. To ensure the safe implementation of basic preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned residents as evidenced by documentation and observations of positive patient care outcomes. To serve as a caregiver, resident advocate and communicator. Qualifications Educational Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing Active license with the state of South Carolina Personal and Professional Maintains Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification. Must keep resident information confidential including diagnosis and medical history. Must be able to properly handle body fluids. Will be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and specimens in working environment. Demonstrates verbal, non-verbal, and written and skills necessary for effective communication. Demonstrates computer skills necessary to complete annual computer training modules. Able to handle various emotions associated with residents and their families. Evidence of professional manner and conduct. Optimal physical and emotional health. Adequate speech and hearing to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff. Near and far visual acuity, sense of smell. Able to frequently lift up 50 pounds and on occasion handle 75 pounds or more. Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Able to bend and squat. Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with staff, co-workers, residents, families and volunteers.
Responsibilities
