Shawnee Health is seeking a LPN or RN for our Shawnee Health Same Day Clinic. Shifts are paid at a premium rate and include every Saturday 7:45-5p, Sunday 10:45-4pm, Monday 7:30-7pm and Tuesday 8:00am-5:00pm. If desired, full-time hours are available. This position reports directly to the Nurse Manager. Responsibilities In addition to all normal LPN or RN job duties additional duties will include the following responsibilities: * Communicate with supervisor and other team members during the workday to meet the needs of the patients. * Follows all clinic policies and procedures for medication and immunization administration, sign out, reconciliation and inventory management. * Prepares the exam rooms for the patient by setting up any needed equipment and maintains a clean, organized, efficient and confidential work area. * Greets the patient, escorts the patient to the exam room, and verifies patient name and date of birth. * Obtains vital signs, height and weight, allergies, completes medication reconciliation, review of systems, updates immunizations and documents relevant information by following appropriate EHR workflow for the visit type and alerts provider to any concerns. * Responsible for performing Point of Care Testing and ensuring all lab quality measures are maintained. * Responsible for documenting reportable disease to IDPH in a timely manner.
