Main Function:  Provide and/or assist in nursing care of patients under the supervision of an R.N.  Record patient information regarding patient’s condition, and report unusual findings to responsible R.N.  Administer IM and oral medications, pharmacy prepared I.V. meds. Requirements: Licensed Practical Nurse; BLS Required EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: One (1) year of acute care experience  (Obtained through SOAHC-PN clinicals if applicable or through work experience) or two (2) years of work experience in another healthcare facility is required. Should be able to demonstrate the following skills: communication, time-management and organization, problem-solving, teamwork and collaboration, and basic nursing knowledge. Key Responsibilities  * Perform skin prick, intradermal, and patch testing * Administer allergy injections and monitor patients for reactions * Prepare and maintain allergen extract vials (if applicable) * Educate patients on asthma action plans, epinephrine use, and avoidance strategies * Assist with spirometry and nebulizer treatments * Document care in the EHR * Participate in emergency response Qualifications  * LPN license * Experience in outpatient or specialty care preferred * Strong skills in patient education and emergency response
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care under RN supervision, including administering medications and performing allergy testing. Educate patients on asthma action plans and document all care within the Electronic Health Record.
