Description POSITION SUMMARY: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing care to clients to include but not limited to administering medication, taking vitals, assessing medical needs of clients. Essential Duties: Assisting with the taking and recording of daily client vital signs and assessments Administering medications and treatments as per provider protocol Assisting with client admissions and discharges Recording client observations and reporting to the medical team as needed Compassionately interacting with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment Maintain a safe and sanitary environment Attend staff trainings and meetings as required Communicating with the pharmacy as needed Completing client nursing admissions not limited to: intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, GeneSight swabbing Follows all policies and procedures with regard to patient information protection, including alcohol-drug patient confidentiality and HIPAA Other duties as assigned ** Three days a week, roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Specific days will be discussed during the in-person interview. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Current unrestricted licensure in TN/GA as a Licensed Practical Nurse Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Experience working with people in recovery or in mental health treatment a plus.
