Job Details Job Location: University (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61820 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 2-Year Degree Salary Range: $32.40 - $44.55 Hourly Job Shift: 1st Shift Job Category: Nursing Christie Clinic's department of OB/GYN is seeking a full-time LPN or RN at the University clinic in Champaign. This position will offer a flexible schedule of 4-10s (7:00am-5:30pm) or 5-8s (8:00am-5:00pm) from Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Job Qualifications and Expectations JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.) Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider. Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of patient. Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider. Arrange for patient testing, referrals and admissions Schedule surgeries in the absence of the Surgery Scheduler. Act as a liaison between patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc. Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education. Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority and documenting appropriately. Attend and participate in departmental huddles. Daily monitoring and working of items in EMR related to patient results and follow up. Schedule appointments for patients (may include lab/DI order entry). Administer injections. Send prescription refills. Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, etc. Perform related work as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional nursing experience CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Possession of an Illinois State LPN or RN License CPR Certification TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment. Ionizing radiation and medicinal preparations are also common. Requirements may include working irregular hours. PAY AND BENEFITS: The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
