If you have a passion for helping people, for mission work and would like to combine that passion with your skills, this may be the position for you.    POSITION SUMMARY  The LPN provides general oversight to the hourly support staff in the Women’s Health Center, as well as patient care to CCHS patients. The LPN Supervisor assists Physicians, Fellows, and Mid-Level providers with various aspects of patient care and performing patient testing, as ordered. The LPN Supervisor helps to ensure smooth patient flow through the clinic and also assists with some administrative responsibilities, per the Site Manager.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   1. Have direct oversight of all clinical support staff and front office staff, including time and attendance, PTO approval, and disciplinary actions, among other duties. 2. Directly assists HR within recruitment for vacancies. 3. Ensures support staff are provided with training for initial and remedial training/education needs. 4. Ensures support staff have completed annual competencies per appropriate license and skill level. 5. Assists as needed with initiation of medical history and physical assessment of patient. 6. Draws blood and collects other specimens for lab analysis. 7. Prepares for and assists with medical procedures such as GYN exams, wound care, etc. 8. Provides telephone triage and initiates follow-up calls directed by the physician or clinic charge nurse. Refers disposition to supervisor and documents in medical record the results of phone call. 9. Educates patients and families within the scope of knowledgebase; provides informational material as appropriate. 10. Assists with staff education and supervision such as preceptorship. 11. Responds to inquiries, communicating policies, procedures, and standards to patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees. 12. Cleans exam and treatment rooms following patient discharge, appropriately disposing of trash to provide a clean environment; wipes up spills and sanitizes area, as needed. 13. Maintains adequate level of supplies, medications, linens, and equipment, requisitioning additional supplies, as needed. 14. Ensures patient care equipment is clean and properly functioning, reporting defective equipment and supplies to supervisor. 15. Assists with quality improvement activities as directed. 16. Complete tasks for medication refills as needed for the assigned care team. 17. Implement and maintain morning team huddles. 18. Follow up on STD tracking report for assigned care team. 19. Follow up with patients on abnormal labs by calling patients 20. Perform daily quality control checks on appropriate clinic equipment and document in log records. 21. Assist with same day referral request. 22. Uphold and implement Nursing standing orders and protocols. 23. May perform other duties as required.   POSITION REQUIREMENTS  Education: High school diploma plus specialized training.  Experience: Minimum of two-years nursing experience. Minimum of one-year management or supervisory experience.   Licenses or Certifications: LPN with TN license. BLS/CPR certified.
