POSITION SUMMARY

Our team is hiring Nursing Supervisor’s for our Calgary office to support our growing team. You will be responsible for Supervising Health Care Aids as well as LPN’s who are working with our clients in the field. You must have current certification with the CLPNA and have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle. This position would require in office work so you should be proficient with computers and Microsoft office programs.
In addition to the supervisor role you may be asked to perform other LPN tasks as needed within the scope of practice and in accordance with established CareGivers Home Health programs, policies, and procedures. The LPN provides ancillary support in the provision of quality resident care.

QUALIFICATIONS

· You must have current certification with the CLPNA
· You must have a drivers license and will be willing to drive from home to home
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft office

  • A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.(We will perform this check if none is provided)

Responsibilities

· Report any changes or concerns regarding clients and caregivers to the Lead Nursing Supervisor in a timely manner.
· Document all exchanges with/concerns regarding clients, family, staff, Alberta Health Services, and other referral sources.
· Follow up with all customer feedback and provide disciplinary action when needed.
· Communicate effectively with clients, family, staff, Alberta Health Services, and other referral sources.
· Provide training and education to clients and caregivers.
· Schedule clients and caregivers as assigned.
· Maintain client records.
· Coordinate and assist in the management of client care with interdisciplinary team.
· Complete client intakes and discharges.
· Assessment and assessment updates for all private client intakes.
· Delegating caregivers to client specific tasks.
· Completing staff evaluations as required for your area, both on a probationary and annual basis.
· The Nursing Supervisor will be required to take part in the on call rotation.
· Promote quality improvement, company philosophy and administrative policies in order to provide quality care.
