Position Overview Bonus: Up to $8,000.00 Department: 4 Surgical/Post-Surgical Rehab Schedule: 3 - 12h/week 7am - 7pm ; weekend requirement Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Contribute to the assessment of patients and assure the well-being of patients. Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent required. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
