Description
The Caswood Group is looking for professional Licensed Practical Nurses LPNs to work at the Children's Detention Center in Rochester, NY. We are looking for FULL-TIME EVENINGS ONLY. Must be able to work within a team environment, communicate well, and administer medication. Hours are evenings. 1. Administer medications to the children residing in the Children's Center as ordered by clinicians licensed in New York State (NYS) to prescribe medication. This includes following NYS and Federal regulations for medication administration; storage and handling; 2. Obtain health histories and perform health assessments for children residing at the Children's Center; 3. Assess, manage, and refer to outside agencies, children residing at the Children's Center with special health care needs; 4. Perform nursing observations and/or assessments within the scope of practice; 5. Perform ordered tests 6. Review incoming medical summaries/reports and facilitate any necessary intervention based on this review 7. Initiate, create and implement discharge planning for all children upon admission 8. Participate in quality assurance activities 9. Participate in staff meetings, as scheduling allows, in order to facilitate coordinated care for this population 10. Provide detailed documentation of all care and communication LPN Position Requirements: * Unencumbered NYS LPN License * Current BLS * Drivers License * Clean background check and drug screen * 2 year min experience as an LPN Care for customers and patients, share your knowledge, dare to challenge yourself.
Responsibilities
