                                       Duties and Responsibilities / KPI’s  1. Contract Administration & Compliance  1.1. Administer mining contracts, including drilling, blasting, load & haul, road maintenance, and infrastructure services  in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.  1.2. Ensure contractor compliance with the scope of work, SLAs, KPIs, safety requirements, and commercial obligations.  1.3. Maintain contract registers, variation orders, and claims documentation to ensure full auditability and governance.  2. Cost Control, Measurement & Valuation   2.1. Verify contractor invoices through detailed measurement validation (e.g., BCM, tons hauled, meters drilled) against  production and survey data.  2.2. Track and monitor contract costs against budget, identifying variances and supporting cost control initiatives.  2.3. Support monthly accruals, forecasting, and financial reporting for mining contracts.  3. Contractor Performance Monitoring  3.1. Track contractor KPIs, including productivity, availability, utilisation, and quality of work   3.2. Coordinate performance reviews and ensure corrective actions are implemented for underperformance.  3.3. Support implementation of penalty/reward mechanisms aligned with contract provisions. 4. Document Control & Administrative Systems   4.1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation, correspondence, approvals, and records in line with  document control procedures.  4.2. Coordinate preparation and submission of reports, including contract performance, cost reports, and operational  summaries.  4.3. Ensure proper filing, traceability, and retrieval of all administrative and contractual documents.  5. Stakeholder Coordination & Process Improvement   5.1. Liaise with operations, finance, procurement, legal, and contractors to ensure seamless contract execution.  5.2. Support contract tendering processes, including scope development, BOQ preparation, and evaluation inputs.  5.3. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance contract efficiency, transparency, and cost effectiveness.                                                   Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge  • Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or related discipline  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in mining contract administration or commercial roles  • Strong understanding of mining operations (drilling, blasting, load & haul, earthworks)  • Experience in cost measurement systems (BCM, tonnage, productivity metrics)  • Familiarity with contract types (lump sum, schedule of rates, unit rate contracts)                                                           Core Competencies / Skills  • Contract administration and commercial management  • Strong cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis skills  • Proficiency in the measurement and valuation of mining works  • Advanced MS Excel and reporting capabilities  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar)  • Strong document control and audit compliance skills  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail  • Stakeholder coordination and communication  • Understanding of contract law principles and claims management                                                                Personal Qualities / Behavioral Traits  • High integrity and accountability in managing commercial data  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in reporting and validation  • Proactive and solution-driven mindset  • Strong organisational and time management skills  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills  • Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration capability                                                                 Working Conditions  • Site-based role within an active mining operation  • Combination of office-based administrative work and field verification activities  • Interaction with contractors and operational teams daily  • Exposure to operational environments, including pits, workshops, and infrastructure areas                                                               Health and Safety   1.1. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and procedures. 1.2. Participate in health, safety and environment training programs to understand potential hazards, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.  1.3. Report any health, safety and environmental concerns, incidents, or near misses promptly to the designated  supervisor or safety officer.  1.4. Assist in identifying workplace hazards and participate in risk assessments to minimise risks to personal health and safety.  1.5. Wear appropriate PPE as required for specific tasks or environments and ensure that it is maintained and used  correctly.  1.6. Be familiar with emergency response procedures, including evacuation routes, assembly points, and first aid  protocols.  1.7. Follow established safe work practices and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or illnesses.  1.8. Operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely, following the manufacturer's instructions and the AML safety  guidelines.  1.9. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to reduce hazards and prevent accidents.  1.9.1. Promote a culture of health and safety awareness among coworkers by encouraging safe behaviours and  reporting unsafe conditions.  1.9.2. Participate in health and safety committees or meetings as required, providing input and suggestions for  improving workplace safety.  1.9.3. Keep accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities as required by company policy  and regulations.                                                                  Environment  1.1. Oversee and monitor the environmental performance of your department's functions, ensuring high levels of  awareness and compliance with company environmental policies and relevant environmental laws.  1.2. Regularly review environmental performance metrics and indicators to track progress, identify trends, and address  areas for improvement.  1.3. Ensure all environmental incidents are reported promptly and investigated thoroughly in line with company policies  and legal requirements.  1.4. Uphold a culture of environmental responsibility and compliance within the organisation by setting clear  expectations for incident reporting and response at all levels.  1.5. This is what we believe it takes to be the steel company of the future.  ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) is operating inside Liberia since 2006, where we are employing approximately 1600 employees and about 1000 contractors mainly in the area of security as well as in transactional manual work like Bush cutting keeping the railway and our concession area free of natural overgrowth, as well as putting tarpaulins on the railcars etc. In Liberia we are running operations, spread over three locations, our harbour, and our Main offices in Buchanan, and the Nimba region the mines, existing of multiple mining locations at Tokadeh, Gangar and Yuelliton and a Crushing plant and rail loading facility, serviced by our own accommodation settlement in Yekepa. These locations are all connected with a 260 km Railroad, operated, and managed by AML, as per the MDA between ArcelorMittal and the government of Liberia. Currently 5 mtpa iron ore (DSO -Direct Shipping Ore) are produced, which will be phased out in the next few years and replaced with Iron Ore Concentrate. The Phase 2 project aims to increase export of Iron Ore to 15 mtpa (concentrate). This was restarted end 2020 after it was put on hold in 2014 due to Ebola outbreak in. Significant civil construction work was already well advanced when the project was put on hold. Phase 2 of the project consist of an iron ore concentrator at the mine, rehabilitation and upgrade of Rail line, and a new iron ore bulk handling terminal in the port.
