Duties and Responsibilities / KPI’s  1. Planning and Coordination  1.1. Develop and implement work plans for mining infrastructure activities in alignment with project timelines.  1.2. Coordinate daily operations across infrastructure teams to ensure efficient execution of tasks.  1.3. Monitor progress and provide regular updates to management on ongoing infrastructure projects.  2. Supervision and Compliance  2.1. Supervise field personnel to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.  2.2. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.  2.3. Conduct regular site inspections and address any non-conformance or operational issues. 3. Resource Management  3.1. Oversee the allocation and utilization of equipment, tools, and materials for infrastructure works.  3.2. Monitor and manage manpower deployment to ensure optimal productivity.  3.3. Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of resources.  4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication  4.1. Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure smooth project execution.  4.2. Participate in meetings and briefings to communicate infrastructure-related plans and updates.  4.3. Address and resolve any conflicts or issues arising during project implementation.  5. Reporting and Continuous Improvement  5.1. Prepare and submit detailed reports on project performance, challenges, and corrective actions.  5.2. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to best practice development.  5.3. Support the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure development efficiency.  Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mining, or a related field.  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mining infrastructure development and coordination.  • Strong knowledge of mining operations, infrastructure standards, and regulatory requirements.  • Proven experience in project planning, resource management, and team supervision.  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Regularly conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards or unsafe working conditions.  1.4. Implement corrective actions when necessary and ensure ongoing safety training for all personnel involved in  infrastructure projects.  1.5. Develop and implement emergency response plans for potential incidents, such as accidents or infrastructure  failures, ensuring that proper evacuation procedures and first aid measures are in place.  1.6. Respond to accidents or unforeseen situations, including spills, fires, or equipment malfunctions.  1.7. Coordinate with safety officers or teams to implement best practices in managing and reducing these physical risks.  1.8. Handle the mental strain of overseeing complex projects, managing deadlines, and solving problems quickly.  1.9. Continuously monitor and take necessary breaks, along with hydration and proper clothing.  Environment  1.1. Ensure all infrastructure activities comply with environmental laws, regulations, and company policies  1.2. This is what we believe it takes to be the steel company of the future.  ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) is operating inside Liberia since 2006, where we are employing approximately 1600 employees and about 1000 contractors mainly in the area of security as well as in transactional manual work like Bush cutting keeping the railway and our concession area free of natural overgrowth, as well as putting tarpaulins on the railcars etc. In Liberia we are running operations, spread over three locations, our harbour, and our Main offices in Buchanan, and the Nimba region the mines, existing of multiple mining locations at Tokadeh, Gangar and Yuelliton and a Crushing plant and rail loading facility, serviced by our own accommodation settlement in Yekepa. These locations are all connected with a 260 km Railroad, operated, and managed by AML, as per the MDA between ArcelorMittal and the government of Liberia. Currently 5 mtpa iron ore (DSO -Direct Shipping Ore) are produced, which will be phased out in the next few years and replaced with Iron Ore Concentrate. The Phase 2 project aims to increase export of Iron Ore to 15 mtpa (concentrate). This was restarted end 2020 after it was put on hold in 2014 due to Ebola outbreak in. Significant civil construction work was already well advanced when the project was put on hold. Phase 2 of the project consist of an iron ore concentrator at the mine, rehabilitation and upgrade of Rail line, and a new iron ore bulk handling terminal in the port.
