1. Training Delivery: 1.1. Conduct structured classroom sessions and practical field training for haul truck and heavy equipment operators. 1.2. Ensure all training aligns with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and international mining safety standards. 1.3. Monitor trainee engagement and understanding, adjusting methods to maximize learning outcomes. 2. Operator Competency Assessment: 2.1. Evaluate operator skills and performance during training and operational shifts. 2.2. Document competency results, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement. 2.3. Track trainee progress against established performance benchmarks and certification requirements. 3. Safety and Compliance Oversight: 3.1. Enforce adherence to mine safety regulations and PPE requirements during all training and field operations. 3.2. Identify unsafe behaviors or practices and implement immediate corrective actions. 3.3. Maintain accurate records of safety observations, incidents, and corrective measures. 4. Mentoring and Knowledge Transfer: 4.1. Coach local operators and supervisors to build sustainable skills and operational competence. 4.2. Transfer technical knowledge effectively through hands-on guidance and practical demonstrations. 4.3. Support problem-solving and decision-making in operational scenarios to enhance crew capability. 5. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: 5.1. Track equipment utilization, cycle times, and operational efficiency during training and operations. 5.2. Identify training gaps, recommend program enhancements, and implement improvements. 5.3. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports documenting training activities, operator performance, and operational outcomes in compliance with international mining standards. This is what we believe it takes to be the steel company of the future.  ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) is operating inside Liberia since 2006, where we are employing approximately 1600 employees and about 1000 contractors mainly in the area of security as well as in transactional manual work like Bush cutting keeping the railway and our concession area free of natural overgrowth, as well as putting tarpaulins on the railcars etc. In Liberia we are running operations, spread over three locations, our harbour, and our Main offices in Buchanan, and the Nimba region the mines, existing of multiple mining locations at Tokadeh, Gangar and Yuelliton and a Crushing plant and rail loading facility, serviced by our own accommodation settlement in Yekepa. These locations are all connected with a 260 km Railroad, operated, and managed by AML, as per the MDA between ArcelorMittal and the government of Liberia. Currently 5 mtpa iron ore (DSO -Direct Shipping Ore) are produced, which will be phased out in the next few years and replaced with Iron Ore Concentrate. The Phase 2 project aims to increase export of Iron Ore to 15 mtpa (concentrate). This was restarted end 2020 after it was put on hold in 2014 due to Ebola outbreak in. Significant civil construction work was already well advanced when the project was put on hold. Phase 2 of the project consist of an iron ore concentrator at the mine, rehabilitation and upgrade of Rail line, and a new iron ore bulk handling terminal in the port.
Responsibilities
