Description Position Title: LSA PT Hourly School Bus Driver Position Location: Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX) Reports To: Campus Principal Position Purpose: To provide safe transport for school children based on schedule and route. Requirements Job Requirements: · Driving for field trips and sporting events · Planning around traffic during trips · Communicate professionally with students · Greet parents and students with salutations and smiles · Helping students on and off the bus/van as needed · Conduct oneself in a professional, ethical, and Christ-like way · Interacts with children and serves as their trusted transportation to and from school events · Obey all traffic laws · Maintain a clean, safe, and mechanically sound bus/van at all times · Ensure the safety of all students · Perform inspections of the bus/van before and after each route Qualifications: · Must be OVER the age of 25 · Superb driving record · Subject to background checks and drug testing · MUST have a valid CDL Driver’s License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements (All that is required for a school bus) · Should be free of any traffic or criminal violations and should have an authoritative yet calming demeanor with a strong understanding of all traffic laws.
