[What the role is] Trainee under our Infrastructure Design and Engineering Group, Land Division. [What you will be working on] This traineeship focuses on developing expertise in Geographic Information Systems for transportation infrastructure projects. Trainees will enhance web-based GIS platforms by analysing user interfaces, identifying improvements, and implementing UI/UX enhancements. Key responsibilities include collating and inputting geospatial data, converting datasets to GIS formats, coordinating multi-divisional data collection, and developing standardised documentation and workflows. Candidates should be proficient in ArcGIS, Microstation, and AutoCAD, with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Programming knowledge and understanding of engineering design datasets are advantageous. Training includes step-by-step demonstrations, practical exercises with sample datasets, and hands-on experience across multiple GIS applications to build comprehensive technical competency. [What we are looking for] Candidate has knowledge of GIS applications (ArcGIS, Microstation, AutoCAD) with strong communication and engagement skills, meticulous attention to detail, resourceful and committed attitude, and ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
