[What the role is] LEAD /PRINCIPAL SOLUTION ARCHITECT (DATA) [What you will be working on] As we advance our Digital Transformation towards becoming an AI-enabled enterprise, you will serve as the principal data architecture consultant, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise across our organisation. You will conduct comprehensive reviews of existing system data architectures, assess their alignment with our AI-enabled enterprise roadmap, and drive standardisation initiatives that enable seamless integration and intelligent capabilities. Working closely with business stakeholders, technology vendors, and cross-functional teams, you will evaluate current data landscapes, identify transformation opportunities, and establish architectural principles that support our journey towards advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence adoption. Your role extends beyond traditional database management to encompass enterprise-wide data strategy development, governance framework establishment, and the promotion of best practices that accelerate our AI readiness across all business functions. [What we are looking for] • Knowledge in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical discipline • At least 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise data architecture consulting, with demonstrated ability to assess and align diverse system architectures • Proven track record in conducting enterprise-wide data architecture reviews • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies for large-scale system integration • Advanced proficiency in evaluating and standardising data architectures across cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) • Experience with architectural assessment tools and frameworks for enterprise data landscape analysis • Hands-on knowledge of diverse data technologies including relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra), in-memory databases (Redis), and modern data platforms • Understanding of AI/ML architectural patterns, data pipeline designs, and integration requirements for intelligent systems • Experience in establishing enterprise-wide data standards, governance policies, and architectural guidelines • Proven ability to influence and drive architectural decisions across multiple business units and technology teams • Strong analytical capabilities in evaluating complex, heterogeneous data environments http://jobs.careers.gov.sg The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
