[What the role is] [LTA-T&ID] DEPUTY DIRECTOR, EV MASTERPLANNING [What you will be working on] You will be part of LTA’s National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC), under the Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC spearheads the promotion of EV adoption, regulating and planning EV charging systems, and the development of an EV ecosystem in Singapore. In this role, you will head the Masterplanning team of 8 officers, which develops the national EV charging strategy and executes plans related to the deployment of EV charging systems and its supporting infrastructure. You will be given the unique opportunity to shape the electrified future of our land transport system in Singapore, and directly contribute to Singapore’s aspiration to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. In this role, you will oversee the following: Develop and refine the national EV charging point deployment and infrastructure upgrading masterplan, covering different developments, vehicle types and charging speed. Identify gaps and opportunities within EV adoption trends and charging infrastructure to drive EV adoption. Map key parameters and their interdependencies, develop and refine models related to cashflow and financial projections of key stakeholders to derive insights on the impact to the financial viability of the EV charging ecosystem. Develop, implement and review policies and monitoring tools related to the national EV charging plan and infrastructure upgrading, and ensure the overall financial viability and stability of the EV charging ecosystem. Partner relevant agencies and entities to ensure the timely deployment of charging points across all public and residential carparks. Manage, administer, review and refine the EV Common Charger Grant and Electric Heavy Vehicle Charger Grant schemes to support charging point deployment. Communicate EV charging strategies, and improve public understanding of EV-related matters. Work with a range of government agencies, external stakeholders and vendors on related workstreams.
