EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in logistics preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience on LTL side of the industry
  • Experience managing individuals or a team
  • Must have a proven track record of sales
  • Must be able to work on-site in one of our 9 locations
Responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison between the LTL Department and the Sales and Operations Departments within the greater organization
  • Interview, hire, and train employees in the LTL Business Development and Carrier Sales roles
  • Assist in developing sales strategy targeting new opportunities and strategic accounts
  • Drive revenue and margin growth through development of employees, accounts, and carrier relations
  • Work cross-functionally to assist in pricing reviews and market penetration, including timely submission of customer bids and RFPs
  • Manage day-to-day operations within the department, ensuring best-in-class service
  • Leverage data to drive operational efficiency and productivity
  • Review metrics in real-time for employees, customers, and carriers
  • Assist in development of quarterly/annual budgets and operating plans
  • Clearly understand and execute departmental goal, policies, and procedures
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities, conduct employee reviews, and delivery disciplinary action as needed and in accordance with company policy
