DESCRIPTION:

Shakopee Public Schools is looking for a Long Term Sub (LTS) Math Teacher (1.0 FTE) to cover a leave through approximately December 4, 2025 at East Middle School. If desired, there is the ability to stay on as a 1.0 FTE Multi-Classroom Teacher after the LTS assignment has concluded.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student’s ability and create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establish effective working relationships with students and parents, work collaboratively with other staff members. When not teaching Math, candidate will plan, teach, and carry out all functions related to teaching in a middle school classroom setting. The principal will provide you with your daily assignment, and you will be expected to follow the daily schedule.

Qualifications:

• Valid MN teaching license in Mathematics
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff
