Description

Recycling Worx is looking for a full time Tire Technician/ Lube Technician or apprentice, to join our team in our Calgary location! This is an excellent opportunity to learn under multiple journeyman licensed red seal diesel construction and highway mechanics, with the ability to work on over 100 pieces of equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Completion of High School
  • Multiple years experience will be taken into account if not in an apprenticeship program
  • Any designated Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship program,
  • First Aid considered an asset

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of High School
  • Experience working on heavy machinery or highway tractors for 2+ years.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to plan procedures based on problems at hand
  • Must be self-motivated and work as a team
  • High attention to detail
  • Familiar with software to assist in diagnosing equipment and trucks considered an asset
  • Committed to safety procedures when performing maintenance
  • Effective interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
  • Tire Inventory, Repairs and Changeouts
  • Preparing vehicles and equipment for CVIP
  • Diagnose problems with equipment and trucks (Loaders, Excavators, Grinders, Terminators, Crushers, Screeners, Skid steers, Hino trucks, Freightliners, Kenworth’s, Westerns tars, TYCROP, Titan, Mac, Manac trailers and others.)
  • Highway tractors and trailers maintenance and servicing
  • Adjust equipment and repair malfunctioning or broken parts as needed
  • Perform routine services and maintenance to machines as needed
  • Follow checklists to ensure all parts are examined on diesel, natural gas, and gasoline engine machines
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by management
