Description

Jiffy Lube is looking for reliable, lube technician who has excellent customer service skills.
This person should have knowledge in related matters and be able to work in cooperation with a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

Upper Bay duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Safely guide the guest’s vehicle into/out of the bay area.
  • Check and communicate initial oil level.
  • Determine, communicate and physically verify correct oil filter application.
  • Check, communicate and fill necessary fluids
  • Add oil, start vehicle, check oil pressure, check oil dipstick.
  • Complete additional ancillary services requested by guest.
  • Observe lower bay quality inspection as well as perform upper bay quality inspection to ensure zero defections.
  • Taking payment for services.
  • Stocking shelves and putting away inventory.
  • Replacement of vital car fluids (e.g. coolant, transmission, and transfer case fluid)
  • Replacement of parts (e.g. air filters, cabin air filters, headlights, taillights and wiper blade replacements)
  • Refilling performance enhancers to ensure the car runs smoothly (e.g. engine stop leak, oil treatment, and conditioners)
  • Performing courtesy checks on all vehicles (e.g. topping up fluid levels, cleaning windows and checking tire pressure)

Lower Bay duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Complete under vehicle inspection.
  • Remove oil drain plug, loosen and remove oil filter, wipe mounting plate and check filter spindle.
  • Inspect oil drain plug and gasket (replace if necessary)
  • Wiper fittings and lubricate (if applicable)
  • Check and fill gearboxes (if applicable)
  • Report under vehicle status to upper bay.
  • Observe under carriage of vehicle once started to ensure no leaks.
  • Perform lower bay quality inspections.
  • Keep work area tidy and clean. Organize tools.
  • Stock filter shelves and put away inventory.
  • Other house keeping duties as assigned.
