Volkswagen Of Kamloops is looking for a Lube Tech or Qualified Technician for our service department.

In the position of Lube Tech or Technician you will be reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting vehicles and performing basic repairs or services [lube tech]. The Technician will be responsible for general services, vehicle diagnostics, major and minor repairs as per manufacturer specifications and be able to work with Workshop Manager and Service writers.
Both Lube Tech or Technician must have a good work ethic and ability to pay attention to detail.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

· Following company-created checklists to inspect and test vehicles.
· Writing labour, time, and parts cost estimates.
· Testing vehicles before and after repair procedures.
· Maintaining a clean working environment.
· Other duties as needed.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:

· A valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract and be familiar with both manual and automatic transmission types.
· Strong understanding of mechanics.
· Good customer service and communication skills.
· Good analytical skills.
