This role is with Lucid Motors. Lucid Motors uses RippleMatch to find top talent. The Manufacturing Engineering Team is looking for a highly motivated intern to join the team for an exciting summer internship. This internship will provide exposure to all aspects of manufacturing engineering including tooling & equipment launch, process development and robotic automation cells. The intern will interact daily with Manufacturing and Process Engineers and help carry out complex tasks through cross-functional collaboration. Please note this is a pipeline req, by applying to this role, you are interested in at least one of the following teams (exact teams subject to change): Manufacturing Engineering Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering The Role: Help develop new manufacturing processes for product projects and industrial projects launch. Develop specifications for General assembly tooling and equipment. Work on new equipment detailed design with integrators. Create work instructions for new products and process launches. Create and commission a pilot line for Lucid forthcoming launches of products. Create Virtual Builds of new product and processes in CATIA and DELMIA. Help create efficient layouts in AutoCAD. Understand the need for Design for Manufacturability and design manufacturing fixtures based on those requirements. Preferred Qualification: Pursuing BS/MS/ME in Mechanical Engg, Manufacturing Engg, Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Previous experience or internship with automotive industry is preferred. Familiarity or Curiosity to work and understand General Assembly Automation Cells. Interest in learning about cutting-edge electric vehicle and how it works. Capacity to process large amounts of data and churn out meaningful outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Program Information: Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules. Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs. Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Newark, CA or Casa Grande, AZ, and is fully in-person. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable ranging from $34 to $46 (subject to changes). Relocation: May be provided on a case to case basis. Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area. Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check. Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen. Medical benefits: Dental, vision, and medical on day 1 for all interns working full-time.
