POSITION SUMMARY:

Carter Forest Products is seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial individual to join our trading team and take on significant responsibility for driving business growth. The Lumber Trader will build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, and promoting lumber products across North America. This position entails analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts, and managing key accounts to drive long-term growth. A minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience and strong phone sales skills are required.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

· Minimum of 2 years of prior B2B sales experience required.
· A university degree is an asset, though equivalent business experience will also be considered.
· Strong phone sales skills and a proven track record of successful cold calling are highly desirable

Responsibilities

· Prospect and cold call to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring ongoing achievement of sales targets.
· Actively promote lumber and wood products to customers across North America daily.
· Analyze lumber market trends and provide valuable insights to both customers and team members.
· Accurately establish sales and purchase pricing while negotiating contracts with suppliers and customers.
· Quickly gain a deep understanding of the flow of goods and trade within North America for bulk commodity products.
· Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, including purchasing managers and company owners, ensuring long-term business growth and customer satisfaction.
