Description Burlington Lumber Company is seeking energetic and hard working individuals to join the team as a Lumberyard Associate. The position duties include greeting and assisting customers, picking and loading materials, unloading shipments and other essential duties needed. Heavy lifting is required and Forklift experience is preferred. Requirements Be able to wait on customers and be able to communicate and interact with a respectful, positive, and pleasant manner. Ability to read and understand order slips Ability to load and unload a truck in a safe and proficient manner Ability to pick orders according to procedures Ability to operate forklifts, trucks, and power tools in a safe manner Restock materials and take inventory of products Clean and organize warehouse and lumberyard Be able to follow through and complete routine and special tasks in a timely and professional manner with a minimum amount of supervision Ability to be at work on time and for the fully scheduled shift Other general tasks as necessary to the normal functioning of the lumberyard Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree Strong communication skills Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shift Company Benefits: Excellent medical and dental insurance plans Paid holidays and time off 401K Retirement Plan
