JOB SUMMARY

The Recess/Lunch Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for children during recess. This position includes monitoring chidlren’s basic needs for nutrition, well-being and nurturing table manners. This position involves supervising students, facilitating play activities, and promoting positive interactions among children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages socialization and physical activity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting is preferred.
  • Background in early childhood education or classroom experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to engage effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is a plus.
  • A passion for teaching and promoting healthy play habits among children.
  • Must be able to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm in all interactions. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while fostering a fun and safe environment during their recess time.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise children during recess and lunch to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Organize and lead recreational activities that promote physical fitness and teamwork.
  • Encourage positive social interactions among students, addressing any conflicts or issues that arise.
  • Monitor the playground and surrounding areas for safety hazards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding any concerns or incidents.
  • Assist in the development of programs that enhance children’s social skills and physical abilities.
  • Provide support to children with disabilities, ensuring their inclusion in all activities.
  • Provide guidance for a calm and respectful lunch time.
  • Provide guidance and support to maintain a clean learning environment.
