JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 3.5T Luton Van Driver to join our Clients Team based in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester on a Temporary Basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle for the purpose of delivering goods and services. This role requires a strong understanding of driving regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment also. The successful candidate will contribute to their commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driving licence.
  • Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
  • Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is an advantage.
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a Luton vehicle for deliveries, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
  • Load and unload goods (With a Pump Truck and use of Vehicle Tail Lift) in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining the integrity of products during transport.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of goods transported and delivery confirmations.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stock organisation.
