Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

At Traci Connell Interiors, we are looking for a Luxury Design Firm Accountant who is ready to take ownership of our financial operations and become an integral part of our dynamic, high-end interior design business.
This is an opportunity to deeply embed yourself in the day-to-day operations of a luxury firm, working side by side with designers, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless financial management that supports our creative excellence.
We need a personable, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. As the financial backbone of our firm, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining smooth operations, fostering strong relationships with clients and vendors, and ensuring financial precision at every level. You’ll be the go-to person for all things finance—handling accounts payable and receivable, overseeing payroll, managing financial records, and ensuring compliance—all while proactively communicating with internal teams and external partners.
Beyond the numbers, your expertise will directly influence the client experience. You’ll liaise with high-net-worth individuals, ensuring that invoicing and financial processes reflect the white-glove service they expect. Your ability to follow up on outstanding invoices and keep financial processes running smoothly will enable our designers to focus on crafting exceptional spaces, knowing that the financial side of the business is in expert hands.
Success in this role means not only ensuring accuracy and compliance but also being a trusted partner to the leadership team, contributing insights that drive strategic decisions. If you’re looking for a role where your financial expertise will have a tangible impact—and where your communication skills and client-first mindset will be just as important as your accounting knowledge—this is the perfect opportunity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of proven accounting experience
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Studio Designer is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with high-net-worth individuals or luxury services
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional, well-presented appearance and demeanor, suitable for interaction with clients and partners.
  • Ability to work from our Dallas office (this is an in-person role; no remote workers)
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

In your capacity as a Luxury Design Firm Accountant at Traci Connell Interiors, you will manage the essential processes of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring a seamless flow of financial transactions within the firm. This includes generating and sending invoices to clients, diligently following up on any outstanding payments, and maintaining clear communication with our vendors to ensure timely payments and foster positive relationships. Your meticulous approach to data entry and financial records will be crucial in maintaining the accuracy of our financial information.
As a key player, you will process payroll accurately and on time, managing employee reimbursements while adhering to company policies. Your role will include serving as a liaison with our accountants for financial reporting and audits, ensuring that our financial practices comply with state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will assist with 401(k) processing and employee contributions, playing an integral part in the support of our team’s financial well-being.
Your strong proficiency in accounting software, particularly Studio Designer, will enable you to drive efficiency in our operations. Leveraging your skills in Microsoft Excel, you will analyze financial data and provide insights that inform our decision-making processes.
This is an in-person role based in our Dallas office, where you’ll work closely with our designers, leadership team, and clients to ensure the financial health of the firm. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage relationships, and integrate financial processes seamlessly into our business will be key to your success.
If you’re looking for a role where you can combine your financial expertise with your people skills, thrive in a luxury environment, and become an indispensable part of a high-end design firm—this is your moment. We’re excited to welcome the right person to our team!
