About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a M&A Associate to join the team in Paris and work closely with industry coverage and M&A teams in U.S. and Continental Europe. The role involves performing the full range of Associate responsibilities within an M&A environment, including preparing client coverage materials, supporting transaction origination, and executing M&A mandates. The team operates on a sector-agnostic basis with a focus on complex cross-border transactions between U.S. and Europe. The team is expected to grow in the coming years to support increasing cross-border deal activity. In this role, you will: Perform the full set of responsibilities expected from an M&A Associate in a team comprising of Interns, Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents, Executive Directors and Managing Directors. Conduct financial analysis, including comparable transactions and public company analysis. Build detailed financial models for valuation and transaction-related purposes. Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda, management presentations, fairness opinions and board presentations. Conduct comprehensive financial and industry due diligence to assess transaction risks and return parameters. Produce sector and industry analysis, including market trends, growth drivers, and competitive dynamics. Manage several projects at once and working effectively as an individual while supervising analysts and interns. Support senior bankers in relationship management, and interaction with existing and prospective clients. Perform key steps in a transaction execution process from origination to completion. Build relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients. Manage, develop and mentor analysts and participate in the recruitment efforts. Work with transparency, collaboration, and professionalism, adhering to the highest ethical standards. Required Qualifications: Diploma with a Finance focus from a Tier 1 business school / university in France / Europe. Minimum three years investment banking experience at a major international investment bank or three years transaction services experience at a Big Four. Experience working on sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions for Corporate clients and Private Equity. Sound analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to assume significant responsibility. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and financial databases as such as FactSet, Refinitiv, and Mergermarket. Sound quantitative and analytical skills with solid knowledge of accounting and valuation. Demonstrated proficiency in working both independently and as part of a team, coordinating with internal stakeholders in a time-sensitive environment. Exceptional organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple assignments effectively. Ability to operate in a demanding, high-performance, and collaborative environment, including a willingness to work long hours when required. High personal motivation, strong interest in a career in financial services, remarkable interpersonal skills, and broad intellectual capacity. Team oriented mindset, acting with strong ethics and integrity at all times. Gérer plusieurs projets simultanément et travailler efficacement de manière autonome tout en encadrant des analystes et des stagiaires. Soutenir les banquiers seniors dans la gestion de la relation client et les interactions avec les clients actuels et potentiels. Participer aux étapes clés du processus d’exécution d’une transaction, de sa conception à sa finalisation. Établir des relations et maintenir un contact direct avec les clients actuels et potentiels. Gérer, former et encadrer les analystes, et participer aux efforts de recrutement. Qualifications requises : Diplôme avec une spécialisation en finance d’une école de commerce ou d’une université de premier rang en France ou en Europe. Au moins trois ans d’expérience dans le domaine des services bancaires d’investissement au sein d’une grande banque d’investissement internationale ou trois ans d’expérience dans les services de transaction au sein d’un cabinet des « Big Four ». Expérience concrète dans l’exécution de transactions de Fusions-Acquisitions, tant du côté vendeur que du côté acheteur, pour le compte de clients Corporate et de fonds de private equity. Solides capacités d’analyse et de communication, souci du détail exceptionnel et volonté d’assumer des responsabilités importantes. Maîtrise d’Excel, PowerPoint, Word et des bases de données financières telles que FactSet, Refinitiv et Mergermarket. Solides capacités quantitatives et analytiques, ainsi qu’une connaissance approfondie de la comptabilité et des méthodes de valorisation.
