About the Role
After closing two company acquisitions in 2024, as well as five loan portfolio acquisitions in 2025, we are now looking to expand our M&A team to continue pursuing business opportunities. We are seeking an M&A Intern for our Stockholm office, starting in September 2025. In this part-time position, you will gain valuable experience in the banking and finance sector, with a particular focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). You will be an integral part of our finance team and support both new investment activities and portfolio companies within the Nordiska group.
This role is focused on in-house M&A, meaning you will be directly involved in Nordiska’s own acquisitions and investments, working closely with internal stakeholders to drive strategic decisions. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in executing transactions that directly impact our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out company and industry sector research
  • Support the team throughout the entire investment process by conducting financial analysis and valuation activities
  • Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities and potential acquisitions
  • Participate in the analysis and valuation of potential acquisition targets
  • Prepare external and internal presentation materials
  • Assist our existing portfolio companies in executing their growth strategies
  • Assist in budget monitoring and forecasting of Nordiska and its portfolio companies

Experience and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree or in the final stages of a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related fiel
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for creating financial models and presentation materials
  • Previous experience within corporate finance or similar is an advantage but not a requirement

You are self-motivated, proactive, and possess strong problem-solving skills. Your ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, combined with a strong attention to detail, makes you thrive in a dynamic work environment. You also have good proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
