Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educatio

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Investment banking experience, ideally working across a variety of sectors, including experience with both listed and privately held companies
  • Exposure to the full spectrum of a M&A transaction life cycle including origination and execution experience
  • Preferably with prior experience at an international bank platform. Past experience working with U.S.-based investment banks is a plus
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a solid financial modeling experience
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English a strong advantage for engagement with North Asia clients; additional Asian languages is a plus

Responsibilities

Wells Fargo is seeking a M&A Analyst to join the team in Singapore. He / She will be directly involved in all phases of origination and execution of cross border M&A transactions, primarily on U.S. / Asia Pacific cross-border M&A situations. He / She will support senior M&A and investment banking industry coverage bankers in Asia Pacific and the U.S. to source, originate, and execute M&A opportunities for Asia Pacific companies who are looking for targets / acquisitions overseas, with a concentrated focus in North America; and for U.S. clients looking for targets / acquisitions in Asia Pacific.

In this role, you will:

  • Support senior bankers in their relationship responsibilities, including idea generation and interaction with existing and prospective clients
  • Lead the preparation of written material, including pitch books, proposals, client materials and associated supporting analyses
  • Play a key role in the execution function of a transaction including but not limited to preparing materials, develop
  • Stay abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
  • Coordinate closely with internal and external resources to arrange client meetings for U.S. bankers in Asia Pacific
