Description

We are looking for a M&E Technical support Engineer to join our growing and dynamic CB Heating team trading as EDF Heat Pumps.

EDF Heat Pumps is part of the EDF group and is one of the most respected names within the renewables sector. We are an established heat pump business with over 20 years of experience and significant revenue growth over the past 2 years, hence we require new roles to support future expansion plans on a national scale following our partnership with EDF- one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers.

About the role:

  • Job title: M&E Technical support Engineer
  • Role Location: Remote. This role is aimed at 50% working from home 50% out on site. Obviously, this can’t be guaranteed as every week will be different needs.
  • Employment type: Full time, Permanent
  • Working hours: variable, Mo- Sat
  • Salary band: £40k to 55k/ annum including shift allowance ( depending on experience)

​​Role and Responsibilities​:

  • You will be responsible for supporting engineers remotely and on site during ASHP installations.
  • Commissioning and auditing installation work
  • Home based tech support
  • Identify faults and troubleshoot issues related to performance, efficiency, or malfunctions on installed ASHP in a timely manner.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance for Air Source Heat Pumps and heating systems as required.
  • Provide technical support on site and over the phone as part of a national team working together.
  • As a technical expert you may be required to assist the office team at HQ with technical matters / advice / support
  • Conduct site Surveys
  • Ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and codes.
  • Working with both consumers and installers

REQUIREMENTS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION

  • You will have a minimum NVQ level 3 in relevant discipline.
  • BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation. (we can provide training and certification if you do not have)
  • You’ll be an experienced plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault. find. You’ll also have domestic hot & cold-water system knowledge.
  • You will have experience as Heating Engineer and fully understand domestic heating systems.
  • Field Service Engineering M&E qualifications needed
  • You’ll have experience of technical specifications & mechanical drawings.
  • Good electrical knowledge.
  • Great attitude and solution based thinker.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Able to work varied hours, on a rotated weekly system, 5 days/ week including some Saturday mornings (shared)
  • Be located in the required area
  • A driving license.
