Job Summary Exciting opportunity to join the ConocoPhillips Australia team in the position of M&R Supervisor - Planning & Scheduling. Position Overview ConocoPhillips’ Australian headquarters are located in Brisbane. Our focus is supplying Australian customers with natural gas and international customers with liquefied natural gas. We do this through our 47.5 percent interest in the Australia Pacific LNG joint venture, one of the largest producers of natural gas in eastern Australia. ConocoPhillips Australia also operates the Australia Pacific LNG liquefied natural gas facility near Gladstone. We are also an exploration company, with ongoing exploration occurring in the Bowen and Surat Basin in Central Queensland and new exploration in the Otway Basin along the southern coast of Australia to identify natural gas reserves for supply to Australian customers. About the role Based on Curtis Island, the M&R Supervisor – Planning & Scheduling plays a key role in fostering a learning organization committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and achieving zero injuries or incidents while ensuring compliance with our standards and processes. Reporting to the M&R Superintendent, this role enables overall maintenance productivity by ensuring all maintenance work is properly identified, scoped, prepared, and scheduled with all materials and resources in place before work begins. The scope covers maintenance planning and scheduling from a five-year horizon to the seven-day locked schedule, including event preparation processes. Key responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to: Lead and develop the planning and scheduling team to deliver fully planned, permitted, and execution-ready weekly schedules. Manage long-term (52-week), medium-term (16-week), and short-term (5-week) scheduling processes, including Maintenance Event preparation. Champion site adherence to the work management process and drive efficiency through centralized job plan and equipment data management. Use metrics and KPIs to identify, prioritise, and implement continuous improvements in planning and scheduling processes. Act as focal point for the Asset Integrated Plan and facilitate key meetings (Daily Notification Review, Schedule Review, Backlog Review, Work Management group). Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Procurement to minimise break-in work, protect the frozen schedule, and ensure material availability. Ensure accurate work order status, timely issuance of locked schedules, and development of fit-for-purpose job plans and work packs, including Permit to Work preparation. Monitor and report performance metrics such as Schedule Compliance, Emergency Work, Fill-In Work, and Planning Accuracy. You will bring to the role: Cultural alignment with ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT Values Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification, with a minimum of 5 years in maintenance planning and prior supervisory experience in Oil & Gas or related industry. Strong SAP Planning & Scheduling expertise (SAP PM, PS, MM, Prometheus); Primavera P6 experience preferred. Proven leadership skills, including mentoring, communication, planning, and organizational skills, and effective people management. Ability to develop and implement business processes, resolve planning conflicts, and build strong cross-functional relationships.
